When I received a wedding inquiry from Georgette Torres for her son Franco, I was excited & a little nervous! She was both of my daughters high school Principle and is an AMAZING woman that I have looked up to for years! I had not met Franco or Kristen till a few days before the wedding but instantly felt a strong connection.
Franco and Kristen met briefly while attending college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, but the real love connection was made while they were both living in San Francisco a few years later. One of the driving forces between their happy almost-eight years together is definitely thier mutual interests and passions.
On Memorial Day, 2012, they took their annual trip up to the lake. While preparing for their usual hike to a nearby waterfall, Kristen could help but notice that Franco seemed a little anxious. When they arrived at the waterfall, Franco took Kristen down to the rocks on the bank of the babbling brook, got down on one knee with their dog at his side, and asked Kristen to be his wife. They returned to a cabin full of family and open arms. Kristen explained it as, “A dream come true and exactly how I imagined it would be.”
The day of the wedding was so peaceful which doesn't usually happen at a wedding! Every person from the family to wedding party, made us feel so welcomed. Kriten's Dad's speech was the best speech I have ever heard at a wedding and he had the entire room in tears. The ceremony and reception was held at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa.
My team of photographers was made up of Quinn LaCasse and Sergey Martinovich. Between the similarities of our styles and individual uniqueness, I hope the beginning of the Torres story was well told.
